Wavsens is pleased to announce it entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The CRADA will help the dissemination of accurate and reproducible methodologies for evaluation and management of spectrum usage in alignment with the missions of NIST. In particular, it supports NIST’s priorities in fundamental RF metrology and trusted spectrum sharing. The CRADA focuses on ultra wideband (UWB) emissions in the 3.1-10.6 GHz spectrum as defined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). “UWB applications experienced steady growth in recent years and it is important to ensure that advanced new products have scientifically proven methods of evaluation and reporting,” said Dr. Fabio da Silva, CEO of Wavsens. The CRADA is valid for three years and the results from the effort are expected to be published in a major scientific reporting venue.

  1. First, you really need to provide a contact us here on your home page.
Second, I am interested in learning more about your m-Widar solution.
In particular, can you do accomplish the following missions:
    1) Help a law-enforcement officer find a suspect who has fled into a corn field or cane field.
    2) Help a fire fighter or SWAT officer identify somebody who is either hiding or is unable to call for help themselves
    3) Help a fire fighter navigate through a smoky, obstacle filled room?
